Where Black Stories Become Powerful Works of Art

A creative space dedicated to elevating Black stories and voices.

About Me

My name is Elijah Jackson, an artist from South London dedicated to telling powerful Black stories through visual art. My work is inspired by my family’s activism and the community that shaped me, driving me to create pieces that honour identity, culture, and lived experience.

What started as a passion for drawing has become a focused practice rooted in representation and storytelling. Through each piece, I aim to spark reflection, connection, and pride - using art as a way to uplift and empower.

Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting the work.

My Mission

At Elijah Art, I use creativity to uplift and celebrate the Black community. From portraits of cultural icons to imaginative storytelling pieces, each artwork is crafted to inspire, provoke thought, and honor Black excellence.

My Process

I work with a variety of materials - mostly acrylics and pencil, with experiments in ink and watercolor - to bring stories to life. Each piece starts with an idea, guided by color, texture, and form, whether capturing a portrait, telling a narrative, or imagining something entirely new.
